The AAA Travel High School Challenge aims to increase travel and geographic literacy and encourages interest in travel, tourism and hospitality careers among high school students. Ninth through 12th grade public, private and home-schooled students throughout the United States can put their travel knowledge to the test for great prizes and a chance to compete in the national finals in Orlando, FL. There are two types of scholarships available – unrestricted awards for any student with travel trivia and geography skills and travel-specific scholarships for those interested in careers in the travel and tourism industry – every student who enrolls in the Challenge can be eligible for both. |

of Southern Mississippi Presidential Scholarship |

As these are the most prestigious academic scholarships offered at Southern Miss, Presidential Scholarships are designed to cover the cost of attendance for four years. This includes tuition, out-of-state fees (if applicable), room, board, and a book stipend. Typically, National Merit Semifinalists, National Achievement Semifinalists, and students scoring at least 30 ACT/1320 SAT are invited to participate in the Presidential Scholarship interview competition held in February. Scholarship winners must also enroll in the Honors College; the Honors College application serves as the application for the Presidential Scholarship. Students must have a completed Honors College application and an application for admission to Southern Miss on file by January 5 in order to be considered for this scholarship. (This scholarship precludes any other Southern Miss scholarship.) |
