Heralds of the Gospel
A primary goal of Mount Carmel Academy is to foster the spiritual development of each student.  The tradition of Carmel is one of the oldest traditions of the Catholic Church.  During the course of the school year there are many means which enable students to grow spiritually:
  • Daily religion classes
  • Daily community prayer
  • Rosary recitation daily at three lunch periods in the campus Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary
  • Mass celebrated each Wednesday and monthly on Friday before school in the campus Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary
  • Prayer groups led by parents, teachers, and students
  • Community Service Program
  • School, grade-level liturgies for students and parents
  • Liturgical services and Masses
  • Junior, senior closed retreats
  • Eighth grade, freshman, and sophomore one-day retreats
  • Campus chaplain
