Gym Day started off with a bang this year as cheering rocked the gym. The annual excitement took place on Friday, Feb. 7. Excitement was in the air as the last lunch bell sounded. The skit members quickly went over their lines as the judges prepared and the board members waited nervously. Gym Day was finally beginning.
The Dino's Clues Freshmen, Survivor Sophomores, Whoville Juniors, and the Sound of Carmel Seniors packed the stands and filled the gym with resounding cheers.
In the volleyball competition, the freshmen held their own this year and defeated the sophomores and the juniors, but fell to the seniors in the final round.
Volleyball was a little different this year. As in past years, grade levels competed against each other for the coveted position of first place, but this year the new eighth grade class participated. A team of eighth graders competed against the "all Cub team," a team made up of two members from each grade level. The eighth graders proudly cheered their volleyball players to victory in their first-ever Gym Day.
