Mount Carmel Academy held its 25th annual Carmel Challenge Cup race at City Park on November 17, 2007.  It could not have been a more wonderful day for the race, as the sun shown brightly to light the Cubs' way. The park was the perfect place to walk with its natural beauty, wonderful views, and, of course, the shade! Turnout this year was phenomenal, and overall participation nearly topped 1300 people. The race consisted of a one mile run and a 5K run where students, parents, community members, and even pets participated. Winners for the mile run included Alex Thomas as first male, Molly Nolan as first female, and Casie James as first student. For the 5K, Nick Accardo was the overall first place male, and Kate Accardo was the first female. Michelle Fanco took first student, and Chris Kelley ran in as the first Faculty Member.
