Following the Liturgy of the Eucharist, Sister Beth Fitzpatrick, congregation president, spoke about her friendship with Archbishop Aymond.
"What I know of servant leadership, I know because of this man and, of course, my sisters," she said.

In true Mount Carmel fashion, the Student Council Executive Board then presented the Archbishop, who was educated by the Carmelite sisters as a young student at St. James Major School, with an MCA Christmas ornament, a Sister Camille Anne magnet and a picture of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. For Father Mike, the Student Council also presented him with an MCA ornament and a Mount Carmel afghan.

Before the final blessing, Sister Camille Anne surprised students with a speaker from the Louisiana State Trooper force, who warned them about the harmful effects of a new drug that is popular among teenagers. Sister's second surprise to the students had a lighter tone. Led by Celebration, they sang and clapped along to a lively Christmas video about the true meaning of the season.
