A BEAUTIFUL ME

How can you gain a better body and self-image? Campers, ages 11 to 14, will learn how to take better care of themselves by learning about different fitness programs, hair and skin care, health and nutrition, grooming, and several other techniques to help build self confidence.
ART EXPLORATION

Discover the world of art! Girls, ages 10 to 14, will learn a variety of art mediums, including oil, watercolor, acrylic, colored pencil, pen and ink, and charcoal. Campers will practice using various techniques for each medium. There is an additional $10.00 supply fee for this camp.
BRAIN GAME

Who says learning isn't fun? Gain math, language arts and history knowledge simply from playing games. You'll be trained by national and city champions from the New Orleans Academic Games League. Put your brain to the test when you compete in a final championship tournament featuring the academic games of Equations, Propaganda, and Presidents. Camp is open to girls going into grades fourth to seventh.

The dance camp is designed to teach the girls, ages 9 to 14, how to perform with a group in various styles of routines. The girls will be introduced to jazz, pom-pon, novelty, and high kick routines. One day will be devoted to learning parade routines, stands routines, and techniques in jazz and lyrical dancing. The camp is under the direction of Mrs. Gloria Doran who will be assisted by the Carmelette Dance Team.
COOKING WITH CLASS

Session I (Beginning and new students) Session I is for beginners and students who have not participated in previous cooking camps at Mount Carmel Academy. This camp introduces students to basic cooking skills through daily food labs. Making healthful food choices, learning about etiquette and table setting are emphasized throughout the week-long cooking and food experience
Session II (Advanced and former Cooking Camp students) Session II is for advanced and former cooking camp students and builds upon the first cooking camp experience incorporating more cooking skills through daily food labs. Making healthful food choices is emphasized.
Both classes will be taught by Mrs. Cathy Mouney who will be assisted by Mount Carmel students. A $25 lab fee covers the cost of food. Limited space available. These camps are available for girls ages 11 to 14.
CONTEMPORARY DANCE ROOTS

Do you love Mia Michael's choreography? Come explore contemporary dance with Mrs. Kristi Shaffer. Not only will you learn about the founders of modern dance and its evolution, but you will also participate in modern dance classes, and the week will conclude with a contemporary dance concert for your family and friends. This camp is designed for girls, ages 12 to 14.
CRAFTING FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Do you like decorating for the holidays? Come spend time meeting new friends and making crafts for each of the holidays - handkerchief Easter bunny, Halloween banner, Christmas picture display wreath, Thanksgiving placemats, decoupage Mardi Gras candle vase, and much more - many projects can be applied to all the other holidays. In order to give individual attention, space is limited. Girls ages 10 to 14 are invited to attend. A fee of $20 for materials will be assessed.
CUB CHEER CAMP

Cheerleading camp will introduce girls, ages 9 to 14, to jumps such as toe touch, spread eagle, and tuck. Basic tumbling will be introduced including forward rolls and cartwheels. The girls will learn several cheers and chants in addition to dance routines.
CUB CRAFTS

Experience a fun way to meet new friends while creating keepsakes for you and your family and friends. Girls, ages 11 to 14, will create five craft projects to take home. Session I will bring back craft projects from last year including the French memo board, plastic canvas picture frame and a decoupage jar. Session II will include a yarn doll, decorated flip flops and a personalized pillowcase. An additional $20.00 fee covers the cost of craft supplies.

Volleyball camp offers quality instruction for all players. The camp is designed to improve each girl's knowledge of the game and develop skills through drill and reinforcement. This camp is designed for girls ages 9 to 14.
EXERCISING YOUR MATH MIND

This is no ordinary math class! No worksheets and homework! Explore subjects like statistics and probability, puzzles and games, string art, problem solving and other mathematical topics. Girls entering Algebra I in the fall are invited to participate.
FAST PITCH FRENZY

Softball Camp will introduce girls of all ability levels to the fundamentals and intricacies of softball. The program includes defensive and offensive skills, conditioning, position training, base running techniques, and pitching/catching skills. The camp is under the direction of Coach Jerry Nugent who will be assisted by members of Mount Carmel Academy's softball team. Softball camp will be held at the Girard Playground and is designed for girls, ages 9 to 14.
GLUE, PAPER, SCISSORS
June 9-13 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Campers will create decorative and useful paper crafts in this camp using colorful papers, ribbons and rubber stamps. Some of the projects we will create include a decorative clipboard, tags and gift cards, and a covered journal. An additional $20 fee covers supplies. Girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to attend.
JAMMIN' WITH JESUS

Want to know Jesus more? Come join us as we grow in the wonder and love of HIM through stories that Jesus Himself told. Have fun discovering some of the important messages Our Lord has given us through role-playing, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, singing, dancing and storytelling - all centered on the parables of Our Jesus. Learning and living His Way is the Best Way! Girls, ages 9-14, are invited.
JUNIOR CUB CAMP - All new camp for girls entering 2nd to 5th grade

Junior Cub Camp is an enrichment camp for girls entering grades 2-5. This camp will include varied activities which will tap into the girls' creative, intellectual and spiritual domains. Activities will include art, outdoor and indoor games, science projects, computer games, skits, Bible crafts and much more. A large dose of Cub Spirit awaits all participates.
MULTIMEDIA MADNESS
June 23-27 9:00AM - 12:00PM Session is filled
Campers will become multimedia experts while building web pages, creating presentations, and designing their own publications. They will utilize Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, the Internet, scanners, and digital cameras. All skill levels are invited. Open to girls, ages 9 to 14. Limited space available.
PRESERVING MEMORIES

The scrapbooking camp is designed either for the beginner or proficient young girl, age 11 to 13, who wants to learn how to creatively design and create scrapbooks or for someone looking for an exciting, new hobby. Students will be shown various ways of putting pages together, how to use the various tools, and how to sort pictures. The final product will be a fabulous book containing all of the completed pages. Scrapbooking is a fun way to display one's memories in a manner in which all who look at the pages can appreciate.
Note: An additional $20.00 supply fee will be assessed for this camp. Students are asked to bring about 50 to 75 pictures to use in the scrapbook. Limited space available.

This camp offers girls, ages 10 to 13, quality instruction in fundamental basketball skills for players of all levels. Mount Carmel Academy's Basketball Camp will be conducted by Coach Mary Ann Marino who will be assisted by the Mount Carmel Academy basketball team.
SOCCER CAMP

Mount Carmel Soccer Camp is designed to introduce girls the technical aspects of soccer. The program includes training on defensive and offensive techniques and an introduction to tactics of the game. The camp will focus primarily on techniques of goal scoring and how, when, and where these are used in game situations. The advanced camp is aimed at players who are serious about scoring and have the drive to push themselves to be successful goal scorers at the next level and beyond. The camp is under the direction of MCA head soccer coach , Pavlos Petrou, with assistance from members of the MCA soccer staff and team.
Mount Carmel Soccer Camp will be held at the Marconi Meadows Fields in City Park. Ball, shin guards, and proper footwear is required. This camp is available for girls ages 9 to 15.
THE RIGHT TRACK

This camp will introduce young ladies, ages 9 to 14, to the wonderful world of track and field. Campers will learn the rules and techniques specific to running events, relay races, and field events. They will have several opportunities to put their learning into action. Be ready for lots of outdoor fun! Track camp will be held at Tad Gormley practice field on Roosevelt Mall in City Park.
YOU CAN'T DANCE WITHOUT RHYTHM

The purpose of this camp, for girls, ages 9 to 14, is to acquire the skills needed to perform in team pom, high kick, jazz, and prop dances. Each day will begin with warm-ups and stretches, followed by instruction of proper technique. The girls will learn short routines to further strengthen proper execution. The emphasis of this camp is not on the routines, but rather on developing the skills presented within them. Mrs. Kristi Shaffer, assisted by the Rhythm Dance Team, will direct the camp.
WRITE AWAY
Session 1: June 16-20 9:00AM - 12:00PM

In this creative camp, scribble-scratchers will collect creative story ideas, poetic inspirations, and real-life observations in their writing journals. Writers will draw from this collection of ideas to develop exciting short stories, imaginative poetry, and creative non-fiction. By the end of the camp, each scribe will have her own portfolio collection of her favorite writings and art work. Go from just telling stories to showing readers new worlds. Come learn how to craft your words into works of art! Session I is open to girls, ages 10 to 12. Session II is open to girls, ages 12-14.
SUMMER IN THE SPOTLIGHT I and II
Session 1: June 9-27 (3 weeks) 9:00AM - 12:00PM
Session 2: June 2-20 (3 weeks) 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Theatre Camp features singing, dancing, and acting culminating in a final production on the last day of camp. This three-week camp combines entertainment skills with a fun-filled theatre experience. Session I is open to girls, grades 2nd to 5th, and Session II is open to girls, grades 6th to 9th.
Please note that Theatre Camp requires a $60.00 registration fee and a $240.00 camp fee to cover the three week session. The $60.00 registration fee also covers the registration of all other camps for which that child might be enrolled.
