SOUTHERN ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGES & SCHOOLS

LOUISIANA COMMITEE ON SECONDARY SCHOOLS

PEER REVIEW COMMITTEE EXIT REPORT

NOVEMBER 10-12, 2003

MOUNT CARMEL ACADEMY

Having someplace to go is HOME.

Having someone to LOVE is FAMILY.

Having both is a BLESSING.

Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible—this is the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family—Mount Carmel Academy.

The Peer Review Team has found that Mount Carmel Academy has a dedicated administration, faculty, and staff who hold instructional improvements and academics as a high priority.

The Peer Review Team CERTIFIES that the school has satisfactorily met the expectations and responsibilities involved in the SACS School Improvement Process.

Additionally, the Peer Review Team CERTIFIES that Mount Carmel Academy MEETS ALL STANDARDS FOR ACCREDITATION.  The Peer Review Team RECOMMENDS THAT MOUNT CARMEL ACADEMY CONTINUE ITS ACCREDITATION BY THE COMMISSION OF SECONDARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS OF THE SOUTHERN ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGES AND SCHOOLS.

The Peer Review Team expresses its appreciation to Sister Camille Anne, Beth Ann, chairpersons Cathy and Michelle, the faculty, parents, and students for your hospitality extended to our team during our visit.

Additionally, the Team wishes the school and its students all the success that they can achieve in their pursuit of student achievement and school improvement.
