The two cheerleading squads at Mount Carmel Academy promote school spirit and good sportsmanship.  During the school year both squads will also do a community service project.

The game squad attends volleyball and basketball games, performs at Open House, pep rallies, and the Fall Festival.  They also march in several Mardi Gras parades.  Game squad members try out each year with the exception of returning fourth-year members.  Tryouts are held in the spring semester.

The competition squad attends regional and national competition throughout the year.  They will also perform at one pep rally and attend Open House.  Competition squad members try out each year.  Present squad members compete on an equal basis with other squad candidates at tryouts.  Tryouts are held in the spring semester.
