On Friday, December 3, members of Chorale, Encore, and Beginning Choir classes gathered in the Performing Arts Center to spread Christmas cheer with their annual Christmas Concert.

Opening with the festive song "Good Cheer," the girls processed onto the stage and performed the beautiful "Christmas Peace Canon" with accompanying sign language.  Then came Beginning Choir's moment to shine as they sang four songs, including the traditional "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year."  They also sang Spanish, Huron Indian, and African carols in keeping with the concert's international Christmas theme.  Next, the eighth and ninth grade choir, Encore, took the stage and serenaded the crowd with "Noel, Noel."  The girls also performed two more songs, and despite their small number of only nine girls, their singing was phenomenal and they enthralled the audience.

Chorale performed next, amazing the audience as they performed four songs.  The girls sang an Old English carol and a Catalonian carol along with their rendition of the traditional "Angels We Have Heard on High."  After the last of the applause had faded, the Brother Martin/Mount Carmel Mixed Ensemble, also known as the Chamber Singers, took the stage and delivered three songs, including a new arrangement of "Go Tell It On the Mountain" and the always enjoyable "Hallelujah Chorus" from Handel's Messiah.  Much to everyone's delight, there was still more to be heard.
