The eighth grade Christian Service Learning Club's mission is to acquaint members with the multitude of service learning opportunities available to them through their school, church, and community. Members will actively participate in choosing projects, contacting service partners, planning activities, and evaluating each event. Meetings will be held on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Although hours spent in service learning activities may be credited to the Cubs-In-Action service hour requirements, members quickly learn that the greater reward is the “difference” their time and service make to those they serve.   During the year, Christian Service Learning participates in activities such as raising money for The ARC of Greater New Orleans, making crafts with students at St. Michaels Special School, volunteering at Ozanam Inn, and volunteering at Animal Rescue New Orleans. |
